CNN Greece honoured the “Faces” 2018-2023

This year and for the first time CNN Greece honoured all of those who have participated in the tribute “Faces” from 2018 to 2023, in a special event attended by a large audience, and representatives of the State and the Economy.

The event took place on Tuesday, January 30, at the Cultural Centre Hellenic Cosmos, where greetings were extended by the Minister of Labour, Mrs. Domna Michailidou, the Deputy Minister of Finance, Mr. Harris Theoharis, the Deputy Minister of Migration, Mrs. Sofia Voultepsi and the General Secretary of Public Administration, Mr. Dimitris Kirmikoglou. In the role of the presenters were journalist Sofia Mavranta and actor Apostolis Totsikas. At the same time on stage was sign language interpreter Foteini Anesti.

The “Faces” of CNN Greece have become an “institution” in the digital media of Greece, honouring individuals who have managed to distinguish themselves for their work and their efforts, as they have placed above all the concepts of selflessness, contribution, and solidarity, serving as role models.

The event "opened" by young soloist Stelios Kerasidis on the piano, continued with four discussion panels, featuring participation of government representatives and "Faces" and concluded with the presentation of honorary awards to all the "Faces" of CNN Greece. Among them were Lieutenant General Prokopios Mavraganis, Commanding General, Special Warfare Command, the president of the Hellenic Red Cross, Mr. Antonis Avgerinos, University professors Mr. Kalantaridou and Mr. Thomaidis, Director of Research at Democritus Centre Mr. Evangelos Karkaletsis, Deputy Director of the National Observatory of Athens Mr. Vasilis Karastathis, long-distance runner Marios Giannakou, stand-up comedian Ms. Katerina Vrana, burn victim from Mati Ms. Kalli Anagnostou, retired runner Mr. Giannis Kouros, etc..
